Most entrepreneurs don’t get funding from investors, but many do want to have investors. Here is a true story of two entrepreneurs wanting funding.

What went wrong for these budding entrepreneurs? They had no interaction with customers, no development of partners, no contract manufacturer, and no proven business. They had spent all their time developing the product prototypes. Investors fund businesses, not products. Many entrepreneurs never get this point.
